Where we are
We are in the South East of Sardinia.
There are more ways to get to us.
From the port of Cagliari:
Exit the port and follow the signs to Villasimius.
After the Poetto beach, walk along the long sea to the Margine Rosso, where the beach ends.
Now turn right towards Villasimius, as indicated by the signs.
You will walk along a beautiful coast road and after 50 km you will arrive at the village of Villasimius.
From here, proceed to Costa Rei, following the signs.
From Cagliari airport:
Exit the airport following the signs for Villasimius SS 554.
Continue along the road, past the many traffic lights pay attention to go out when you find the indication SS125 Muravera.
Once entered continue straight ahead (be careful not to turn to Muravera when you will find the indication but continue to Villasimius) until you find a new indication with a left turn to Villasimius.
At this point you will start the coast road.
Once in Solanas turn to Costa Rei and after a few km take the highway. You can exit at Castiadas -Costa Rei.
From Olbia you have two possibilities:
SS131 to Cagliari (rather sliding up to Cagliari, 270 km to Cagliari and another 60 to Costa Rei) SS131 to Nuoro from here continue first to Tortoì / Arbatax, then to Muravera and finally to Costa Rei (rather sliding except about 20 km when you cross the Gennargentu, 280 km in all).
SS125, beautiful but tough; breathtaking views, curves and narrow road.
Sometimes the holiday is more beautiful if a little more adventurous, or not ?!
